Sichuan BlueO2 Water Co., Ltd. (main business: production and marketing of HDO water, HDO drinks and HDO liquors, and bioengineering R&D)

Planning idea for Chinese and English naming:

Sichuan BlueO2 Water Co., Ltd., which operates an independent R&D and marketing model, has launched the "high-quality and innovative" "HDO" brand after its natural spring water is ready. Sichuan BlueO2 Water Co., Ltd. is in dire need of communicating with consumers through its own "we media" to fully promote the new product. Therefore, it has an urgent need for strategic and meaningful Chinese and English names, because a good name can take a brand further.

Step 1 – Drinking water market research

Through an overall investigation of the drinking water market, and based on the mental and consumption characteristics of the core target customer group, we have learned about the existing problems with the logo of this new drinking water brand:

The high-end water market is saturated;

There is no brand touch point; and

Consumers can hardly remember this drinking water brand.

Step 2 – Chinese naming:

Sichuan BlueO2 Water Co., Ltd. aims to develop new types of HDO natural spring water to meet diversified needs of the great market. The Haohead naming group firmly grasps the character "氧" (oxygen) in "高溶解型氧" (HDO) and defines it as the starting point of the Chinese name based on HDO natural spring water;

In the Chinese name "氧之藍", the character "氧" (oxygen) can highlight the selling point of natural spring water – HDO; for natural water, the character "藍" (blue) is directly integrated into the Chinese name because it is associated with seas, skies and health; when they are combined, the word "氧藍" (oxygen and blue) implies HDO and health;

Step 3 – English naming:

Based on the Chinese name "氧之藍", the English name must fit several characteristics: 1) echoing the Chinese name; 2) being readable, memorable and meaningful; and 3) being registrable.

The main features of the Chinese name of BlueO2 are "氧" (oxygen) and "藍" (blue), in which "氧" = O? and "氧藍" = blue O?. To facilitate registration, BlueO? is converted into BlueO2, and then the English name "BlueO2" is officially born.
